1 Wear things made of classic fabric

Classic, timeless clothing made from materials that will last for decades to come is what you should look for and add to your basic wardrobe. Think cotton, wool, linen and silk. These four basic ingredients stand the test of time if cared for properly. Cleaned and stunned items made from these fabrics tend to have a classy atmosphere.

These fabrics also have variations that allow you to expand your wardrobe. Denim is an example of a cotton fabric that runs through all stylish lines, from street to boho to minimalist. Likewise, chino cotton goes great with pants, blazers and even motorcycle jackets (for street style!). Then there is cashmere, a type of fleece that is heavenly on the skin and does not peel with age. Cashmere sweaters, whether they are cardigans, V-neck or sweaters with a neckline, combine perfectly with such jeans as trousers and skirts.

A word of the way with these substances: Read the labels and make sure they last. As crumpled cotton becomes more useful, most cottons need to be ironed. (Clothes don’t crease!) Wool, linen and silk often need to be washed dry or by hand. Wrong, and maybe you should give your 6-year-old cousin a wool sweater that fits perfectly in your closet, but your dryer has cut it in half.
# 2 When in doubt, wear solid neutrals

Distinctive patterns and prints will certainly work with a refined and classy look, but such patterns may not suit you if you are just starting out with a diary style. Neutral is your friend in this case. There is plenty of solids in stores (and perhaps in your closet), they are easy to collect and can help extend your closet.

Common neutrals are white / beige / cream, dark blue, black and gray. Now don’t think you have to wear head to toe in black (or other neutral). Monochrome (different shades or shades of the same color) allow you to change color, but remain elegant. Or you can add small accents that can turn a solid into something attractive, such as an alligator leather wine strap, a burgundy scarf or a pair of red pumps. # 3 Fitness is the key

Classic and refined clothing tends to be tailored and shaped (not too tight, but you can show your figure). Skirts should sit above or below the knees, just like your class clothes. Classic trousers are straight, small in width, have a slow cut or are worn by men and should be ½ inches from the back floor. Wide pants and leather pants made of classic fabrics are also acceptable, as well as ankle pants (shade Audrey Hepburn!). Blazers, blouses and sweaters should follow the curve of your waist.

Do not hesitate and bring things to a local tailor or seamstress to change them so that they fit properly. Do you like Nordstrom dresses, but they are too big on the chest? That’s a $ 15 fix. Are the gray fur pants in your closet too long for classic three-inch pumps, or do you want to wear them in an apartment? Another $ 10-15 to fix. Remember that quality clothing will last you 10+ years and for a change it is a small price. Beats have to change cheap pants every three years.

Not everything you wear needs to be perfectly sewn and shaped. For a more relaxed atmosphere, you can mix unstructured pieces. Combine a blue striped t-shirt with chinos pants and a denim jacket or a bright maxi skirt with a white buttoned shirt (roll up your sleeves for a bigger swing!).

Here is an example of how to wear a jumpsuit and in this outfit I chose solid neutral colors and combined a structured blazer with a flowing overall.
# 4 Don’t overexpose

Elegant dress requires a little modesty – no tops with exposed belly, revealing deep neckline or miniskirt.

The necklines are usually colored, boat, neckline or V-neck. For some species, you can also try square, round and scapular necks. Asymmetrical, popular and halter necklines will also be suitable for more formal occasions. However, cover the cleft palate and navel. Also, the armholes on blouses and dresses should not reveal your bra.

As mentioned above, the length of the hem of skirts and dresses should be just above or below the knees for everyday wear, slightly shorter and fuller lengths. Suitable for summer events or classic formal wear. Here is an elegant and professional example of clothes that I would wear to a professional event or office. And it was an elegant and classy dress that I wore to a black-tie event. These two outfits are examples of how you can look stylish and sexy without showing too much skin.
# 5 Accessories not overboard

Simple jewelry is the best way if you are looking for a classy and refined style. My recommendations are:

Earrings: small silver or gold rings, pearl or diamond. Bracelet: silver or gold bracelets (either heavy or more dangerous), tennis bracelet, watch (gold or silver with metal or leather strap).
Necklace: high pendants, pearls, diamond solitaire, cross.
Ring: Not necessarily, but if so, go for a risk or explanation. Thin ribbons, diamonds or older rings are great and everyone should have a cocktail ring for events or jeans. Just attach a ring and / or middle finger. Scarves: Scarves are a great way to add color and visual interest to a sophisticated outfit. Especially if the scarf is light or has an interesting pattern, again, the best fabric options are cotton, silk and wool. Try different colors and fabrics, with lighter silk or cotton for spring and thicker fleece for winter. Flowers, paisley, strawberries and solids are good options. Pumps, slingbacks, ballerinas or boots in a solid neutral color, such as cream, navy blue or black, are your best choice. It all comes with lots of outfits, which means you don’t have to make money for a closet full of shoes.

But don’t think you can’t be fat in choosing shoes, every woman should have red shoes and it never hurts to have an animal print to do something. (Imagine a leopard pattern that is flat with khaki or denim.)
# 6 Adjust your hair

Now that we’ve treated the colors, fabrics, cuts and accessories, let’s get to your hair! I won’t say anything because I want to record all the basics. Make sure you style your hair. When thinking about how to dress elegantly and give them a sophisticated look, take some time to style your hair.

If you are short in the morning or do not want to style your hair, choose a quick haircut as a haircut that is easy to apply. Stylish and chic hairstyles mean slim ball or ponytail. I have a lot of hair and they are a bit long, so if I want to look stylish, I know I have to spend at least 30 minutes if I want to wear them. But the hairstyle I return to when I no longer want to do my hair is a slim empty tuber.

# 7 Makeup makes a difference

You have reached the last point of dressing elegantly! Yes, thank you for doing this. I left it at the end because, frankly, I had the biggest problems with it. I don’t always make up myself and that’s what I’m working on. If you’re like me and don’t spend a lot of time applying makeup, focus on these three things that can affect your elegant look. Eyes, cheeks and lips should be concentrated in just 5 minutes. Wear mascara to open your eyes, add a little blush to give your face life and size, and wear distinctive lip pencils to add a colorful doll. These three things are subtle, but they can have a huge impact on completing your classy look.
You don’t need a lot of money to handle the class

Contrary to popular belief, elegant clothing does not ruin the bank. Yes, you can spend $ 200 for a branded buttoned shirt, but you can also find the same quality and look for $ 68 at Banana Republic, The Gap or Ann Taylor. And because classic, well-tailored clothing will last for many years and even decades, you can always find great deals in second-hand shops and bazaars.

Invest in quality standards that fit well and can be combined. Accessories – which are cheaper than clothes – can help change your appearance and further increase your standards.

As I mentioned in my first point about choosing classic fabrics, also look for classic shapes and current classic wardrobe staples. Don’t waste money on trendy pieces that you only wear at the same time. Hold on to Pretty Peanut

Your hands and his jewelry are an extension of your wardrobe and a reflection of how you take care of your appearance, especially if you wear a distinctive bracelet or ring that attracts more attention to your fingers.

Take part in regular manicures, whether at home or in the salon. Keep your nails short to medium long, choose a nice round or oval shape, with colorless or bare varnish or a French manicure. Stay away from needle nails and bold neon colors such as nail art and jewelry.
